You Can't Always Get What You Want.
I tried to do a simple(ish) Alice and doesn't come out like I expected, or more exactly, I didn't know what to expect of it. You must have a clear idea or vision of the pic you are doing while doing it, or before doing it even.
It started okay but the moment I started the line art and then coloring I lost track of everything. Also if the idea is weak, and I have to do commission in between, I can loose the... vision or whatever.
Plain bad when you spend time on something, and the more time passes the less you understand what did you want to do in the first place. It's funny when you know that when I started this, I was planning for something quick since I was going to do a strip and those things take time.
At some point I gotta see when I'm beating my head against the wall too many times to spend any more time on a piece. I either finish it any way I can, or leave before wasting more time, and this was one of those times when I couldn't bring myself to finish it.
So erase the board, and start again on another thing. I have to get better.
I won't stop because I run out of ideas, that's for sure.
